Each year Foresight works with about 40-45 kids from Denver area schools and Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind. Their experiences are as unique as they are. This past season we met Ryan who was a 5th grader from Douglas County. Ryan had never skied before coming on a two-day trip with Foresight. At the end of the ski day we ask each visually impaired participant, or VIP as we call them, about their day and experiences. On Ryan’s last day I asked her what the favorite part of the day was for her. She responded with a laugh, “Going up on the mountain on the chairlift and knocking over my dad.” Sounded like a great day of skiing to me.
